This ground-bouquet of yellow tulips come up every early spring right next to my driveway. They’re the only flowers anywhere around and they seem to thrive until they’re newly discovered by hungry rabbits, some years sooner than others. This year it took the rabbits about a week longer to find them.

This is a reduction woodblock print. I used one block of Shina wood and cut away the surface of the block after each color was printed. When completed, it’s impossible to go back and print more since most of the block has been cut away in the printing process.
